Company Collaborators

Company Collaborators have access to our office space and participate in our co-working environment. They receive training, coaching and consultation from our Creative Directors, as well as support from the staff team, the board of directors, and other external consultants.

There are no current calls for submissions for the Company Collaborators program. Please sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date on opportunities to engage with Generator!

Generator’s residency programs were designed to promote capacity building, peer mentorship, and knowledge-sharing among companies, and with other artists the organization supports. Company Collaborators are organizations and companies who pay a fee to access Generator’s resources.

In our 2023/24 season, we are continuing our long-term engagement with Company Collaborator Shakespeare in the Ruff and move into our second season with Dancemakers. Our work with Company Collaborators is unique and responsive to each organizations’ needs, and we often collaborate on special initiatives and on joint programming.

COMPANY COLLABORATOR

Dancemakers is a decentralized community-led dance organization that focuses on the research and development of dance makers to deepen, revitalize, or transform their practice and form. Through residencies and partnerships with other dance organizations, Dancemakers provides a range of resources to creators, working across genres of dance, seeking innovation in their practice towards the development of new performance works. Curatorial decisions are made by a rotating committee of dance practitioners to ensure that the broadest community of dancers and choreographers are being served. www.dancemakers.org

Shakespeare in the Ruff

Shakespeare In The Ruff is a Toronto-based theatre company dedicated to exploring the possibilities of outdoor, site-specific theatre, re-imagining classical works, and fostering the next generation of theatre artists. Ruff strives to create accessible work in Toronto's Withrow Park, and welcome those who may not have connected with classical works in the past. The company has multiple training programs for emerging artists, and prides itself on deep connections with the Riverdale community. shakespeareintheruff.com
